Countable Noun Analysis on Connect (Term 2) Student's Book: A Book Analysis

The complexity of language in children's books can provide serious challenges for young readers, leading to frustration and preventing comprehension. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accessibility of the English children's book, "Connect Term 2 Student's Book," by investigating the utilization of countable nouns and their implications for teachability, similarity, availability, coverage, and defining power. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The study found 172 countable nouns in the text using a quantitative descriptive method, with 89.53% being singular nouns and 10.47% being plural nouns. The findings provide light not just on the language complexity of the book, but also on its potential for successful teaching, conceptual understanding, and general readability for young readers.

The Effectiveness of Compensation Strategy in Improving Student’s Reading Skills

This study aims to: 1) analyze the application of compensation strategy in teaching reading ; and 2) identify the student’s achievement level in reading using compensation strategy to the second semester of Islamic Religious Department Students of STAI Ma’arif Magetan. The research method is descriptive qualitative research. The data are the teacher and students’ interaction, and the students’ achievement. The participants consist of 33 students, and the research was conducted in May 2023. The qualitative data were obtained by doing observation and taking field notes. The result from the test evaluation, the students got good marks. It means that the students understood the text. They can answer their test correctly. In the time, the use of compensation strategies can help the students to know the new words, in order to understand the texts when the lecture delivers the test. The research findings indicated that the compensation strategy improved the student’s reading skill ability. However, if it is not addressed, the affective factor can hinder the student’s effective use of compensation strategies.

The objectives are: (1) To determine the extent to which the use of laptop learning media can improve learning outcomes in Class IV Science Subjects of SDI Islam Banowati in Semarang. (2) To find out what factors are obstacles in the use of laptop learning media to improve the performance of Class IV Science Subjects at SD Islam Banowati in Semarang and how I can overcome these problems. I conducted this research when I was still teaching at the school called SD Islam Banowati located on Jl. Banowati Raya No 29, Bulu Lor, North Semarang District, Semarang City, Central Java Province. Data analysis is carried out through three stages, which include: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing / verification. The results of the study: (1) By using laptop learning media it turns out to have many advantages obtained, including: (a) Laptop-assisted learning if designed well, is an effective learning media, can facilitate and improve the quality of learning, (b) Increase student motivation and enthusiasm, (c) Support individual learning according to student abilities, (d) Can be used as a direct feedback delivery, (e) The material can be repeated as needed, without causing boredom, (f) Can make students know the pictures according to the material taught by the teacher, (g) can make students not sleepy. While the limitations of learning using laptop media at SD Islam Banowati located on Jl. Banowati Raya No 29, Bulu Lor, North Semarang District, Semarang City, Central Java Province are: (a) limited communication between teachers and students, or students with other students, (b) frequent use of laptops can cause dependence which has adverse consequences for students, especially in terms of book reading habits, (c) Reducing social interaction attitudes that should be an important part of education, (2) Obstacles in the use of latop learning media to improve the achievement of grade IV science subjects at SD Islam Banowati located on Jl. Banowati Raya No. 29, Bulu Lor, North Semarang District, Semarang City, Central Java Province, the first is the funding problem, the second is the school's laptops which only number 3 pieces, (3) The use of laptop learning media in science lessons can increase science learning performance, this is because by using laptop learning media students are more interested, and more motivated, besides that by using laptop learning media students who are slow in their acceptance power can adjust, with the interactive learning program, students can do practice questions without depending on the teacher, with laptop learning media.

The spread of Covid-19 is troubling to various circles, this is due to the ease with which this virus is transmitted. Some experts say this virus can be overcome by implementing healthy and clean living behaviors. Cultivating clean and healthy living habits can be integrated into every lesson, one of which is in science learning. Psychomotor assessment media can be packaged with fun activities for students or Fun Science Activity Learning. This research includes research and development research. This research aims to develop Fun Science Activity Learning based on PHBS as prevention of COVID-19 for Elementary School Students. Furthermore, knowing the quality of Fun Science Activity Learning based on PHBS as prevention of COVID-19 for elementary school students with an average validation result from material experts 82.5%, linguists 81.6%, and media experts 81.5 and assessment experts 80.5%.

Development of Audio And Video System Learning Modules for Light Vehicle Engineering Vocational School: 4D Model

The aim of this research is to develop a module on the subject of electrical maintenance for class XI light vehicles as a learning medium at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 North Klaten. The development of this module is to make it easier for students to carry out learning about light vehicle electrical maintenance. This research includes research that uses the Thiagarjan development research model. In learning development, a model called Four-D (4D) is used, namely, Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. The data analysis technique used analyzes quantitative data obtained from expert validation, teacher support and field trials. Quantitative data in the form of numbers resulting from calculations is added up and then compared with the maximum score to obtain a percentage of module feasibility results. The research results show that the audio and video system modules are: (1) with a percentage of material expert assessment scores of 91.6%. (2) the percentage of media expert assessment scores is 87.0%. (3) the percentage of teacher assessment scores was 95.3% (4) the percentage of small-scale students was 74.6%. (5) the percentage of large-scale students scored 78.2%. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that this audio and video system module is very suitable for use.

Development of Motorcycle Brake System Tutorial Media for Vocational High School

This research aims to develop learning media and determine the feasibility of video tutorials for learning brake systems in class XI motorbike chassis maintenance subjects. This research uses a development research approach. The research subjects were students of class XI Motorcycle Business Engineering at Vocational High School. The procedure developed in this research consists of 4 stages, namely (1) concept creation stage which includes initial analysis, final analysis, collection of materials and supporting materials, (2) product creation stage which includes design and assembly, (3) trial stage ( testing) validation by media experts, material experts, then continued with evaluation or assessment of teachers in the field of study, peer evaluation or assessment, and trials on students (4) distribution, namely by uploading (upload) on YouTube. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of assessing the feasibility of video tutorial learning media are: (1) material expert assessment of 89.58%. (2) media expert assessment of 94.04%. (3) teacher assessment of 94.04%. (4) peer reviewer response assessment of 95.4%. (5) student responses were 81.06%. Based on the results of the assessment and responses obtained, it can be concluded that this learning media based on brake system learning video tutorials is very suitable for use and development.

The aim of this research is to learn and understand more about the scope of environmental education. Environmental education is not only about knowledge related to the environment, but also how to apply environmental education in society and everyday life. Waste banks are activities that fall within the scope of environmental education. The existence of this program increases public awareness in Tegalaren Village in maintaining a clean and healthy environment. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The qualitative approach to this research involves collecting data from various sources, including observations and interviews, field notes, audio recordings, videos, and documentation as sources of information. The result of this research is to find out how influential society is in respecting and protecting the environment. Through the waste bank program, we can raise awareness of the importance of creating a clean and healthy living environment. Because humans and the environment cannot be separated. This shows that community participation in protecting the environment supports life so that this creates clean, healthy and comfortable environmental conditions.

The spread of COVID-19 at the end of 2019 in China then spread to countries around the world including Indonesia, making the capital market. The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia affects the capital market. It causes changes in trading times on the Indonesian stock exchange and this is a negative signal that causes investors to be more interested in selling their share ownership (Kusnandar & Bintari, 2020). It's caused the stock market price to decline, especially after the WHO declared that COVID-19 was a pandemic (AlAli, 2020). This study aims to analyse the effect of the exchange rate, BI Rate, and Inflation on stock returns during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. The research method used is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The result is that the exchange rate, BI rate, and Inflation do not have any correlation.

Web-Based Application for Determining Clove Oil Selling Prices Using the Topsis Method

Clove oil is oil produced from distilling parts of the clove plant, especially the leaves, handles, and flowers of cloves, and is commonly called clove essential oil. In recent years, the selling price of clove oil has fluctuated, and there is no price certainty. The refiners determine the price based on the market price, so it is considered less supportive and needs to produce a fair selling price. Refiners should set prices based on the quality of the oil. This research was conducted in Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi, to create a system that can help refiners determine the selling price of clove oil based on oil quality and provide price certainty for refinery business owners. The method used in this decision-making is the Topsis Method. Based on the results of calculations with the Topsis method in this study, the selected alternative value is leaf oil at a price of Rp.120,000.00 per liter with a value of 0.68, which has clear sub-criteria, specific gravity 1.0450, pH level 21, total eugenol 82, refractive index 1.5330, optical rotation -1˚, solubility in ethanol by 69%. This web application has been tested using black box testing to determine the functionality of each feature. The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of the Prosperous Waste Bank as a substitute waste management strategy in Salam Village, Gebang District, Indonesia. The research technique encompassed conducting field surveys, engaging in interviews with Waste Bank managers, and performing qualitative data analysis. The findings demonstrated that Bank Sampah Sejahtera successfully mitigated environmental pollution by diminishing the quantity of waste and concurrently enhanced public consciousness regarding the significance of waste segregation. The garbage Bank effectively gathers, reprocesses, and markets garbage, resulting in enhanced profits. The primary results indicate that the Prosperous trash Bank in Salam Village has the capacity to diminish trash and yield economic advantages for the local community. The creation of the trash Sejahtera trash bank serves as a viable and efficient approach to waste management at the local community level. This not only contributes to environmental preservation but also enhances individuals' financial earnings. Thus, Bank Sampah Sejahtera serves as a viable waste management model that can be replicated by other villages in the region to address the escalating trash issue in a sustainable manner.

Career issues are very interesting and continually being studied nowadays. Competition in the work life is getting tougher, requiring all individuals to have the ability to prepare their careers carefully and be able to carry it out as optimally as possible. This study aims to obtain an overview of the handling methods used by counselors in the process of providing assistance to students who have difficulty in determining their careers at SMAN 1 Pejagoan. This research method uses case study research on students who have difficulty in determining careers. Career problems are individual emotional problems. TH has problems in the career field that cause a negative impact on the development of TH and disrupt the learning process. The problems lead to TH's personal-social maturity and disrupt his mental stability. In addition, there is a possibility that one person's personal problems have an impact or influence on others, as an individual's way of venting his personal problems. TH, who is no longer comfortable with his profession, does not accept his situation, feels jealous of his friend who is more affluent, needs intensive treatment from a counselor.

The findings indicate all aspects that can provoke the learning process to be very challenging both for kindergarten students and elementary school students.

A global perspective is a very important lesson to be taught at primary, secondary and tertiary education levels. However, a global perspective is only given at the higher education level. Apart from that, teaching a global perspective really requires supporting facilities and infrastructure, one of which is textbooks. The Global Perspective textbook can increase students' knowledge about the world, train students' sensitivity and concern for world developments in all its aspects, encourage students to know more about global problems/issues, and train analytical critical thinking as global citizens. The objectives of this research are: (1) To determine the feasibility of global perspective textbook content used in lectures at PGSD UST; (2) to determine the feasibility of the language aspects of the Global Perspective book used in lectures at PGSD UST. This research was conducted at PGSD Sarajanawiyata Tamansiswa University, Yogyakarta which was carried out in June-October 2023. This research used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach using content analysis techniques. Data collection uses direct observation techniques, reading, marking and documentation. Data collection instruments used book content feasibility sheets and language feasibility observation sheets. Data analysis includes observation data analysis of the appropriateness of the book's content and appropriateness of the language, analysis of the readability level of reference books based on the Fry Chart. The results of this research are: (1) In terms of content feasibility, the Global Perspective textbook by Dwi Wijayanti has 75% conformity with CMPK and 80% with Sub-CPMK which is in the feasible category. (2) from a linguistic perspective, several grammatical errors were found in both Indonesian and English texts. Linguist validation results showed that 22 spelling errors were found for the Indonesian text and 4 errors were found for the English text. The results of the readability level using Fry graphic analysis show that based on the 10 paragraphs analyzed, it was found that 4 samples met the appropriate criteria (40%) and 6 samples met the difficult criteria (60%). Meanwhile, for English texts with the same paragraph content, it was found that 6 samples (60%) met the difficult criteria and 4 samples (40%) met the appropriate criteria

Design of Monte Carlo Simulation Modeling for Determining Favorite Tourist Places in West Sumatera

This study creates a Monte Carlo simulation model to identify top tourist destinations in West Sumatra, Indonesia - a province known for its natural and cultural beauty. Delineating popular tourist sites is crucial for promoting tourism and improving the local industry. Monte Carlo simulation serves as the primary method in this study due to its capacity to handle uncertain and variable data. Using this method, researchers can generate more accurate results when evaluating the most visited tourist hotspots by taking into account factors like scenic beauty, amenities, accessibility, and local culture. The study presents a design model of preferred tourist destinations in West Sumatra, based on visitor statistics from 2019-2022. The obtained model is adept at predicting favored tourist destinations in West Sumatra with a MAPE value of approximately 1.15% and an RMSE of approximately 141.07. Its design is poised to generate valuable insights for an array of tourism stakeholders comprising local government officials, industry experts, and visitors alike. This will enable them to proactively showcase and experience the diverse tourism offerings West Sumatra has on offer.
