Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between bullying behavior in adolescents in terms of self-esteem in class VIII students of SMP "X". The hypothesis put forward is that there is a negative relationship between the tendency of bullying behavior and self-esteem. The sampling technique used in this study was a non-probability purposive sampling technique. The data collection method used is the Likert scale and the summated rating scale. The data analysis method used in this study is product moment correlation analysis with the help of the SPSS statistics 23.0 program. Data analysis in this study yielded (r) = -0.553 with a significant level of 0.000 (p <0.05) these results indicated that there was a negative relationship between bullying and self-esteem, so the hypothesis was declared accepted.
