Abstract

ABSTRACT

Currently, schools have conducted Face-to-face Learning (PTM) even though the COVID-19 pandemic has not ended and even experts predict that there will be a 3rd wave of attacks in Indonesia in the near future. Therefore, the enforcement of Health Protocols (Prokes) in schools is an important factor to prevent virus transmission in the school environment. The UMS Community Service Team does service to Muhammadiyah schools in Kartasura, Sukoharjo which consists of 6 elementary schools (SD), 3 junior high schools (SMP), 1 high school (SMA), and 1 vocational high school (SMK). The method of implementing the activities is divided into 2 stages: stage 1, namely Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and stage 2 online survey by distributing observation sheets. There are 6 questions that are asked and must be answered by teachers and students: such as checking temperature for school residents before entering the school area, washing hands at school, wearing masks in class, wearing masks in school (outside class), maintaining distance inside class, and social distancing in school (outside of class). The results show that the activity of washing hands and wearing masks in SD, SMP, SMA/SMK is only on a scale of > 75%. and SMA/SMK students (50%). Based on observations, the low enforcement of health care programs during PTM is partly due to: (1) the low discipline of school residents (both teachers and students) in complying with health care programs, (2) the limited availability of health care facilities, and (3) the high operational costs for carrying out health care programs. . The proposed activity solutions are: (1) training of teachers and students to drive prokes discipline in the school environment; (2) support for technological process facilities; and (3) training in the manufacture of hand sanitizers so that schools can reduce operational costs for implementing procedures.
