Abstract

This paper reports community service activities carried out by the Agriculture Faculty of UST Yogyakarta to the Kelompok Tani "Suka Tani” Kalisoka Margosari Pengasih Kulonprogo. The purpose of this activity is to increase the level of the economy by utilizing land that has been less productive by cultivating edamame which has low waste (zero waste) and is environmentally friendly. The method used is interviews with farmer groups about their problems, capacity building through FDG, dissemination by presenting competent resource persons in their fields, training in the area, and practice in the field. Edamame farming is carried out starting from land preparation, soil processing, planting edamame seeds, fertilizing, monitoring plant growth to harvesting. The plant is currently 1 month old with the condition starting to flower and 2 months with the progress of having pods and harvest time. With a land area of 1000 m2, based on the results of previous research and conditions in the field, an estimated production of 750 kg. Calculation with R/C ratio shows that edamame farming is profitable.
