Pemetaan potensi air tanah di Kecamatan Paranggupito, Kabupaten Wonogiri

Abstract

Paranggupito Sub-district which is a karst area where the karst area has unique hydrological characteristics, making the community unable to utilize or meet water needs. This is because the karst area has groundwater sources deep in the ground. Problems regarding the non-fulfillment of water availability in Paranggupito Sub-district have been going on for a long time until now and get worse during the dry season. Several steps have been taken by the community in Paranggupito District, such as the existence of reservoirs in each resident's house that can accommodate rainwater, buy water, and make boreholes. However, these things still encounter problems such as water reservoirs that are not filled when there is no rain, water purchases that interfere with economic conditions, and drilled wells that have not reached the entire area in Paranggupito District. The solution offered for this problem is the mapping of groundwater potential through an inventory and survey of caves and luweng in Paranggupito District to find groundwater resources. Furthermore, the results of the survey of the presence of underground water are tested for quality and quantity to be known and analyzed so that they can be used as guidelines for planning the removal of underground water sources. The sustainability of this program is through the realization of the removal of underground water sources so that the results of this service will really be useful.
