Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the management (planning, organizing, implementing and supervising) the principal; principal's performance; and the influence of management on the performance of the principal of SMA Negeri 1 Sigaluh, Banjarnegara district. This research is quantitative research. The population of this study is all 51 employees, but the sample used is 30 employees who have civil servant status. The technique used in data collection is using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique to determine the performance management ability of the principal used descriptive analysis, to determine the effect of management ability on performance, it was processed using linear regression data analysis techniques with the help of SPSS. The results of the study show as follows: Partially the influence of management planning and implementation of principals has an effect on performance, but simultaneously management (planning, organizing, implementing and supervising) principals has an effect on performance, this shows that the management ability factor contributes effectively to 63.1% this means that 63.1% of performance is influenced by the ability of the principal's management. It can also be interpreted that the remaining 36.9% is the influence of other variables not examined.
