Abstract

The vision of SMA Taman Madya Ibu Pawiyatan (TMIP) is to make students as human beings who excel in science and technology, but also have a strong character or virtuous character. Student character as the basis for mastery of knowledge and skills. However, the implementation is not optimal. Not all character values ​​are understood by teachers, such as gender-based characters. For the most part, teachers do not understand the value of these characters so that even the learning tools do not include the planting of gender-based characters. Teachers need to understand and implement gender-based characters in order to provide knowledge and instill gender-based characters in learning so that students have gender-based characters. Therefore, Community Service or Abdimas activities were carried out at TMIP High School with the title "Strengthening the Implementation of Gender-Based Character Education for Teachers at Taman Madya Ibu Pawiatan Yogyakarta High School" with the aim of strengthening the implementation of gender-based character education in SMA TMIP Yogyakarta. These activities are carried out using lecture, discussion, and practice methods by understanding, feeling, nglakoni, niteni, nirokke, adding, kendel, kandel, and stubborn. The activities are divided into three, namely socialization, workshops on learning tools containing gender-based character values, and the practice of implementing learning containing gender-based character education. With this Abdimas activity, teachers have insight into gender-based characters and are motivated to implement them in learning. The output of this activity is targeted to be published in the Abdimas Dewantara journal and activity videos.
