Abstract

For the implementation of learning English in the 2013 Curriculum at the junior high school level, guidelines are needed to support teaching materials and test questions, especially those related to vocabulary and grammar. Thus it is necessary to develop a guidebook that cover vocabulary and grammar. This guidebook is a research output entitled Teachers’ Perceptions of Curriculum Development 2013 for English Subjects. The aim is for teachers, material developers, and exam question makers to have references in terms of vocabulary and grammar in developing teaching materials and exam questions for junior high school English. Information dissemination and training on the use of this book was carried out at Condro Kinasih, of the Education and Youth Service office, Yogyakarta City. The methods used were lectures, discussions, and assignment. Assessment of the feasibility of the guide book was done by means of questionnaires and assignments. From the results of the analysis the data  collected with the questionnaire, it was concluded that (a) English vocabulary and grammar guidebooks are important  to be taught to students, (b) how to use the guidebooks was clear, and (c) there are not many difficulties in using the guidebook. (d) there are some suggestion for improvement of this book. Based on the results of the assignments carried out by the teacher it was found that the teacher could use the handbook to build teaching materials.
