Abstrak

In this digital era, it is very easy to get information from various parts of the world. Digital media used makes it easier for technology users to share information with each other. Social media is part of technological developments, which offer many ways to communicate and socialize easily. The research results show that the number of social media users in Indonesia is increasing. Incorrect use of technology has a negative impact on children, especially elementary school-age children. The purpose of this study is that social media users can find out the positive and negative impacts on children's psychology. The research used is descriptive qualitative research by conducting a literature study. The results of this study describe the effect of digital literacy on the psychology of elementary school-age children. Various deviations that arise from social media as a result of society's lack of knowledge of the impact of technology, especially on elementary school-age children. There is a lot of violent and pornographic content that can affect children's psychology. The role of parents and those around children is very important in monitoring the use of social media.
