Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to determine students' ability to solve numeracy literacy problems. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative research using the case study method. The subjects of this study were 23 grade VI students of SD Negeri Garongan, Kulon Progo. Data collection techniques through test techniques were analyzed based on Polya completion steps, interview techniques and documentation techniques. The test instrument uses a test sheet consisting of 2 literacy questions and an interview guide made by the researcher. The results of this study showed that 60,87% of students were in the low category, 30,43% of students were in the medium category, and 8,70% of students were in the high category in solving numeracy literacy questions. Based on Polya's steps, the most mistakes were made in the steps of determining problem-solving strategies and implementing problem-solving strategies.
