One of the basic literacy that can be applied in elementary education is numeracy literacy. Numeracy literacy consists of three aspects in the form of numeracy, numeracy relations, and arithmetic operations.  This study intends to analyze writing and reading exercises in improving numeracy literacy of elementary school students. The purpose of this study is to improve the numeracy literacy skills of elementary school students through reading and writing exercises. This research is a quasi-experimental study, with the design of The Posttest-Only Control-class Design with a 2 X two factorial design. This study uses instruments in the form of tests. A test is a tool that is used officially by taking into account limits, indicators and a provision in the process of collecting information. Researchers used descriptive statistical analysis and independent t test analysis to analyze the difference test. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the results of the independent t test obtained a significance value of 0.000, < 0.05, so it can be concluded that the average score of 20 students has a difference in pretest and posttest scores. The value of t count 5.473 with df 38 then known t table 2.024, it can be said that t count > t table is 5.473 > 2.024. So it can be concluded that reading and writing exercises can improve numeracy literacy learning outcomes in elementary school students. More reading and writing practice can improve numeracy literacy skills in elementary school students.
