University Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa in 2022 is holding an International Essay Competition in order to commemorate 100 years (1 Century) of Tamansiswa with the theme "Education, culture and Nationalism in a New Era". This activity takes place both online and offline at the Central Campus of Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa, Hall, 3rd Floor of the Rectorate Building, Saturday (18/06/2022).
This international essay was attended by various universities in Indonesia and even Malaysia and India participated in the 100 years Tamansiswa international seminar. Participants in the International Essay Competition are divided into 2 categories, namely the lecturer level and the student level. The international essay competition jury comes from foreign agencies. Participants must take part online and prepare the material to be presented. At 13.00 WIB, the presentation program began, participants joined via Zoom. Mechanical Engineering Vocational Education (PVTM) students who will be competing have long been prepared to prepare presentations. They presented their respective articles using international languages. For approximately 3 hours, the event was guided by a moderator. Each room was attended by approximately 10 participants, running smoothly. The article from the Mechanical Engineering Vocational Education Study Program (PVTM) presented by Basroni Alex Nugroho with TIM passed the competition to the final stage. The theme presented was entitled "Maaping Skills and Workplace Human Resources Leading Innovative Products Natural Fiber Vocational Village in Tuksono, Sentolo, Kulon Progo". There are still many international webinar participants who received appreciation from the event commemorating 100 years of Tamansiswa.
This activity is expected to provide benefits for students, namely to increase motivation and ability to publish research results on an international scale, increase publication results and increase added value and continue commercial activities. So that it can motivate University Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa students to synergize and innovate at the international level. For the higher education institutions concerned, this activity can also be used to improve institutional accreditation and broad cooperation with user institutions, both on a national and international scale. So that what is obtained in the presentation will be useful to improve the ability (skills) for participants who take part in the presentation of an international competition held by the 2022 Tamansiswa.
