Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis Siswa SMP dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Literasi

This research was conducted based on the importance of mathematical reasoning abilities for students in learning mathematics. This research aims to determine the level of mathematical reasoning abilities of junior high school students in solving literacy problems on algebra material. This research is descriptive research using qualitative methods. The subjects in this research were 39 class VIII students at SMP Piri 2 Yogyakarta. The instrument used was a written test in the form of a mathematical reasoning ability test sheet containing 2 story questions on algebraic operations learning material. Based on the research results, the results of students' answers in this class show a picture of students' mathematical reasoning abilities for different questions and indicators of mathematical reasoning abilities that have not been achieved in the categories of high and low mathematical reasoning abilities.
