Abstract

In the field of education, several factors affect education in schools, including the learning environment and learning concentration. The environment is something that exists in the natural environment and has sure meanings and influences for individuals, while the concentration in the Big Indonesian Dictionary means an effort to focus attention or thoughts on something. Mathematics is one of the sciences that has an essential role in various aspects of life. Mathematics learning is considered difficult because of its abstract nature and requires a learning environment and concentration to understand the mathematics material studied. This study aims to determine the relationship between the learning environment and the concentration of junior high school students in learning mathematics. The research method used is quantitative research with the product moment analysis technique. The research instrument used is a learning environment questionnaire and learning concentration consisting of 30 items with the research subject of VII A class students of Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Junior High School as many as 15 students. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between the learning environment and learning concentration.
