Abstract

This research aims to describe junior high school students' understanding in solving problems with Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables in terms of their extrovert personality. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Subjects in this study were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Determination of subjects in this study was based on the results of the Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI) personality type questionnaire. The results of this research show that students with extroverted personalities are only able to fulfill the indicators of representing mathematical ideas through writing and orally, and are unable to fulfill the other two indicators, namely the indicators of interpreting the results of problem solving with mathematical ideas and describing the relationships of problem situations through Mathematical representation and drawing conclusions in writing and verbally.
