Abstract

The aim of learning mathematics is to be able to solve mathematical problems in real life using mathematical abilities. Mathematical connection skills are very necessary because mathematics is not divided into separate topics, but rather as one unit. A person's belief in their own ability to carry out tasks or actions to achieve certain results or what is called self-efficacy is one of the factors that influences the success of learning in mathematics to be able to make mathematical connections. This research aims to examine several literature related to students' mathematical connection abilities in terms of self-efficacy. The research method uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR), namely identifying, reviewing and interpreting existing literature. The research used 12 articles obtained from the Google Scholar database via Publish or Perish with the keywords students' mathematical connection ability and self-efficacy in the period 2018 to 2023. The research results obtained: (1) the influence of self-efficacy on mathematical connection ability; (2) there are differences in the level of mathematical connection ability based on self-efficacy; (3) description of research trends for 2018-2023 related to self-efficacy towards mathematical connection abilities, which is dominated by qualitative research and research tends to be conducted at the junior high school level.
