PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK KELAS V SDN 3 WONOKROMO

Abstrak

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning motivation of the fifth grade students of SD N 3 Wonokromo. This study aims to: (1) determine the application of the Problem Based Learning model in increasing learning motivation in fifth grade students of SD N 3 Wonokromo, (2) increase learning motivation in thematic subjects through the application of the Problem Based Learning model.

This type of research includes classroom action research (CAR) which consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were students of class V, totaling 20 students. The object of research is the increase in learning motivation on thematic subjects. Data collection techniques were obtained by observation, questionnaires and written tests. Data analysis in this study used quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis.

The results showed: (1) efforts to increase student motivation and learning outcomes by applying the Problem Based Learning model through the following steps: conveying competence, presenting problems, forming groups, taking notes, reading discussion results, and presenting work results. (2) The application of the Problem Based Learning learning model for class V can increase students' learning motivation. This is indicated by an increase of 12.43% in the first cycle of 77.84% and in the second cycle of 90.27%

Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa kelas V SD N 3 Wonokromo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui penerapan model Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar pada siswa kelas V SD N 3 Wonokromo, (2) meningkatkan motivasi belajar dalam mata pelajaran tematik melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Objek penelitian adalah peningkatan motivasi belajar pada mata pelajaran tematik. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan observasi, kuesioner dan tes tertulis. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) upaya peningkatan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning melalui langkah- langkah sebagai berikut: menyampaikan kompetensi, mengemukakan masalah, bentuk kelompok, mencatat, membaca hasil diskusi, dan presentasi hasil kerja. (2) Penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning  untuk kelas V dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan sebesar 12,43% pada siklus I sebesar 77,84% dan pada siklus II sebesar 90,27%
